It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Valentine “Val” Joseph Bradley, age 82, at his home in St. Teresa on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Loving husband of 59 years to Charlotte (Smith) Bradley. Born in St. Teresa, February 14, 1942, son of the late Adrian and Ruth (Affleck) Bradley. Dear father of Michael, Adrianne (Scott) Power, and father-in-law of Michelle Gouthro (Reggie, deceased); loving grandfather to Matt (Annie), Mitchell (Serena), Mary, Mason, Miriam, Rachell, Brendon, Gerry (Alexis); adored great-grandchildren, Rory, Eliza, Siara. Val will be greatly missed by brothers, Philip (Marie), Fred (Jean); sister, Mary (Martin) Wenkoff; brothers-in-law, Gerard (Bea) Smith, Milton Byrne; sisters-in-law, Mary Jay, Brenda Smith; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and longtime friend and employee, Anthony (Rose) O’Brien. Predeceased by sons, Val Jr. and Reginald “Reggie”; brothers, Ernie (Joan) and Leo (in infancy);sister, Helen Bradley Byrne; nephews, Bobby (Diane), Gary, Paddy, Ricky, Donald Bradley and Bradley Wenkoff; mother and father-in-law, Reg and Clare (Farrell) Smith; brothers-in-law, Louis Smith, Brendon Jay and sister-in-law, Jeanette (McInnis) Bradley. A special thank you to Dr. Bernard Holland, Nurses at KCMH and the Ambulatory Care for their excellent care and kindness for Val. Resting at St. Cuthbert’s Catholic Church, St. Teresa, with visiting on Thursday, April 4th from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday, April 5th at St. Cuthbert’s Catholic Church, St. Teresa at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
