It is with heavy hearts, the family of Barry Doyle, of the Atlantic Baptist Home, announces his sudden passing which occurred on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Charlottetown, PE on October 30, 1950. He was the son of the late William and Irene (Larter) Doyle. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Marilyn Mason (Winston), Linda Collins and infant brother, Blair Doyle. He is survived by his siblings, Barb Blakney, Karen MacDonald and Michael Doyle; brother-in-law, Tommy Collins; nieces and nephews, Alan Mason, Sandra Longley, Chad Collins (Jennifer), Chrissy Cooper (Brett), Lindy Nemeth, Jeff MacDonald (Jennifer), Tommy Collins (Jennifer) and Kelly MacDonald, as well as several great nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Barry was an avid Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Blue Jays fan. He will be missed by his family and his Atlantic Baptist Home family. The family would like to thank the Atlantic Baptist Home for their years of wonderful care and friendship to Barry and also thank the ICU staff at the Queen Elizabeth hospital for their care. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Sunday, May 5th from 2-5 p.m. His funeral service will be held from Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 6th at 12 noon. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Barry may be made to the Intensive Care Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
