At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Saturday, May 18th, 2024 of Brian B. MacKay of Bedeque aged 67 years. Born in Summerside, June 18, 1956 he was raised in Clinton, son of the Late Weirum and Enid (Howatt) MacKay. Husband of Kathy (VanHerk) MacKay. Father of Lydia Jean (Greg) MacDougall and Kevin (Katie) MacKay. Beloved step-dad to Johanna, Tony (Vanessa), Jannigje (Peter), Marianne (Tom) and Dirk (Courtney). Proud Grandpa/Grampy Brian to 19 Grandchildren. Brother of Blake (Leona) MacKay and Marvin (Bev) MacKay. Uncle of Luke (Sarah), Bryanna (Joe), and Kalina. Son-in-law of Eileen Simmons. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by brothers Kevin and Alexander. He had high praise for the medical care he received over the last few years, but special thank you to Dr Sharpe and Dr Scales who granted him his last wish. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Tuesday from 3-6 p.m. Funeral Wednesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. and will be available to view online from the death notice on the funeral home’s website.
