The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, April 28, 2024 of Joan (Sheppard) MacKay of Charlottetown, formerly of Sydney River, age 87 years. Wife of the late William “Bill” MacKay. Loving mother of Noelle (Craig Bailey); sister of Faith (Bill Adair); and sister-in-law of Kennina. Predeceased by her parents, Frank and Elsie Sheppard; and siblings Frank and Joyce (Ron) Collison. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Interment later in Peoples Cemetery.
