The death occurred peacefully at Maplewood Manor in Alberton, of Kay Mullen, aged 97 years. Kay was born in Montreal to the late Andrew and Magdalena (Kuzmitskas) Dagilis. Left to mourn are her children, Sharon (John) Handrahan and Paul (Josee Dumouchel) Mullen. Survived by her sister-in-law, Noreen Watts; and numerous nieces and nephews; also by a special family friend, Lillian McNally. Predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Magdalena; a brother, Joseph; and by her husband, Earl J. Mullen. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Rd. Visiting hours are Wednesday, May 8th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral is Thursday, May 9th at St. Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish at 10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow at Tignish Parish Center. Interment in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Tracadie Cross PEI on Friday. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Maplewood Manor would be greatly appreciated.
