It is with heavy hearts the family of Mary Bernadette (McManus) Driscoll, wife of the late Frederick L. Driscoll, announces her peaceful passing which occurred on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born on December 5, 1933, in Charlottetown, she was the daughter of the late William and Ethel (Clinton) McManus. Bernie is survived by her loving children Jamie (Kerry) and Jennifer; grandchildren Cait, Cameron, and William (Carol, mother); sister Elizabeth Walker (Cliff, deceased); brother-in-law Wilfred Driscoll (Mary, deceased) and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Bernie was a tremendously social person who made lifelong friends wherever she went. She had a very keen interest in politics, enjoyed a good game of bridge, had an amazing sense of style, and knew how to find a bargain. She was very active in her community serving as a volunteer in a number of roles including as a member of the CWL and spending many enjoyable years as a Friend of Confederation Centre and working in the Confederation Centre Gift Shop. Above all else was the incredible love Bernie had for her children and her grandchildren and she was immensely proud of Jamie and Jennifer and their careers in law enforcement. Bernie will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and will be missed by many. The family would like to thank the Mount Continuing Care Community and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for their compassionate care given to our mother. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with a funeral mass at St. Pius X Parish on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation. Online condolences may be left on Bernies memorial page at: www.belvederefh.com
