Passed away with his family by his side on May 10, 2024, age 77. He leaves behind his wife, Phyllis (Higginbothem) of 57 years; his four beautiful daughters, Vickie (Chucky Martell), Darlene (Clayton Cuddy), Nancy (Craig Bagnall), Rosalie (Allan Glover); his loving grandchildren, Lucus (Noah), Patrick, Samara (Brent), Brielle (Logan), Danton (Hannah), Isabella, Lylah, MacKenzie and great grandchild, Adam; two sisters, Clara (David MacQuarrie), Cora Johnston; sister-in-law, Esther (Toppy) Penny and lots of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Curtis and Nora Penny; infant brother, James; brother, Lewis and brother in law, Ronald Johnston. Donations to the Murray Harbour Fire Department or Kings County Memorial Hospital would be appreciated. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visitation on May 14th from 6-9 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 15th, at 3 p.m. in the Murray Harbour Cemetery.
