The death occurred at Wedgewood Manor, on May 11, 2024, of Wanda Florence Lord (nee MacDonald), of Summerside, P.E.I., age 83. Wanda made a strong impression on everyone she met. She was beautiful, intelligent, and possessed a sharp sense of humour, and, a love of horses, language, and music — especially her favourite singing artist, Hank Williams. Before retirement, she worked for many years in the public service, as a stenographer with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. Daughter of the late Roy and Florence MacDonald, of Albany, P.E.I. Mother of Nanci Lord, Cyndi Lord-Riehl, Ross Lord, Heather MacDonald. Grandmother of Tara, Luke, Megan, Tyler, Evan, Brody, Allison, Amy, Daniel. Survived by sisters, Dorothy Jewell (late Fred), Jenny Mayhew (late Earl), Ethel MacDonald, Dianne (Garnet) Stewart. Sister-in-law of Mae MacDonald and Barb MacDonald. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by sisters, Blanche (Davis) Jewell, Verna (Victor) McKenna; brothers, Preston (Cora), Hensley, Garnet (Jean), Alfred, Lloyd (Marion), Hollis (Lorraine), John and Carl MacDonald.
