Brander, Donald "Don" Of Charlottetown, passed away on June 9, 2024, age 71 years. Born on May 6, 1953 in Kensington, Don was The Guardian's long-time publisher, and a 44-year veteran of the newspaper industry. Upon seeing himself in The Guardian today, he'd probably say, "You couldn't have found a better photo?" He was the beloved husband and best friend of Dianne (nee Sinclair), his wife of fifty years. He loved taking care of his daughters, Meaghan (Les Cooper) and Heidi (Mr. T); and his grandson, Henry Cooper. Don is survived by his siblings, Leo Brander (Darleen), Carol Cousins, Gloria (Robert) Crafer, Judy (David Mallett), Susan (Richard Murtha), and Pamela (Gordon MacLeod). He was predeceased by his parents, George and Doris (nee Matthews); as well as his daughter, Ashleigh. He leaves behind hundreds of inside jokes and golf balls. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 13th from 2-4 p.m. in the Belvedere Funeral Home Reception Centre.
