Burleigh, James Williams The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 of James Williams Burleigh, Veteran of WW11, in his 99th year, beloved husband of the late Pauline (nee Jelley). James was born in Ellerslie on November 15, 1925, son of the late Lemuel and Pearl (Williams) Burleigh. Cherished dad to Paul (Barbara), East Bideford; Ann Burleigh, Halifax; Heather (Dave) Rideout, Vancouver, BC; Georgia (Dave) Ellis, Summerside and loving grampie to Andrew, Sarah, Erin, Rebecca, Spencer, Laura, Matthew, Colleen, Gregory, Heather and to six great grandchildren. Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Pauline (Sept 6, 2019); sisters, Georgia (Art) Weymouth and Vivian (Jerry) Sheen; sister in law, Olive (William) Parker; brother in law, Charles (Jo) Bryant; niece, Gerri-Lynn Sheen and nephew, Donald Sheen. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours on Saturday, June 15, 2-4 p.m. Funeral on Monday, June 17 at the Bideford-Conway United Church at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
