Hickey, Mary Elizabeth With both sadness for our loss and gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Elizabeth (Cousins) Hickey on May 24, 2024 at the age of 91. Daughter of the late Robert S. and Louise (Ramsay) Cousins, Mary was born on November 19, 1932. Her upbringing on a farm in Baltic alongside her nine siblings instilled in her a strong work ethic and deep sense of family. Mary is survived by her children, Shirley (Wayne) Thompson, Janet (Charles) O'Brien, Arnold (Elaine) Hickey, Glenda (Rick) Burt, Jennifer (Miles) Mozel as well as her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, William (Dorothy) Cousins; sister, Florence "Fluff" (Burrows) MacPhail; sisters-in-law, Mary (Fulton) Cousins, Shirley (Arthur) Cousins, several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Elmer; son, Edward Hickey; siblings, Sutherland, Arthur, Fulton, John, Robert Keir, Norman Cousins and Edith Woodside. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home in Kensington, for visitation on Tuesday June 11 from 4-6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. on Wednesday June 12 which will be available to view online at www.davisonfh.com. Interment will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
