MacLeod, Winnie It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Winnifred Mary (McKenna) MacLeod, loving wife of Robert MacLeod, on June 2, 2024. Born February 1, 1963, daughter of the Gerald (deceased) and Noreen McKenna of Newton, PEI. Loving mother of Conor (Laura), Morgan (Kate Smith) and Lydia (Luke Trainor); grandsons, Theo MacLeod and Sutton Wynn Trainor. Also mourning her passing are her 11 siblings, Ida (Manuel) Soares, Gregory (Karen), Paula MacDonald, Barb (Don) Mann, Maureen (Donnie) Leard, Clifford, Mona (John) MacKinnon, Phyllis (Allan) Weeks, Brendon (Chrissy), Nancy (Jeff) MacLennan, Christine (Paul) Nowak. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Louise MacLeod and sister in-law, Jeannie (Larry) Connolly. Winnie was treasured by all of her nieces and nephews and adored by their children as the Best Aunt ever. Winnie was a retiree of the Department of Veteran Affairs. She was a life member of the Uigg Kinross-Grandview WI and a member of the Vernon River CWL. Winnie lit up every room she ever walked into and will be remembered for her love of life, family, red wine and dancing. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. from St. Joachim's Church, Vernon River.
