MacLeod, Catherine Alfreda Peacefully, with family by her side, the passing of Catherine Alfreda MacLeod (nee Bears), age 79 of Kinross, devoted and loving wife of 57 years to Ernest MacLeod, occurred on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Riverview Manor. Born in Montague, July 10, 1945, daughter of the late Johnny and Mary Bears. Survived by son, Darren (Joni) MacLeod; grandchildren, Jessica (Thomas), Emma (Ben); siblings, Evy-Lou (Leith) McCarron, Sally McCullough, Eva (Hammie) Nicolle, John Bears, Marie Dengin, George (Julie) Bears; brothers-in-law, Neil Macdonald, Ewen (Anna) MacLeod; sister-in-law, Anne MacLeod; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by infant son, Darrell MacLeod; brother, Sam (Marina) Bears; brothers-in-law, Buddy McCullough, Nick Dengin, Donnie MacLeod; and sister-in-law, Mary Macdonald. Alfreda was a babysitter for many years and loved taking care of children. She also really enjoyed baking and spending time with her family. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 2 p.m. with live stream.
