Arsenault, Edgar Joseph The death occurred peacefully at the South Shore Villa, Crapaud, on Sunday, July 21, 2024, of Edgar Joseph Arsenault formerly of Wellington, beloved husband of the late Kathleen "Kay" Arsenault (née Thurrott), age 102 years, a Veteran who served in the Navy, during World War 2. Born December 30, 1921, Edgar was the cherished son of the late Augustin and Madeleine Arsenault of Urbainville. Edgar is survived by his sisters, Norma (Paul McNamara - deceased) and Leona (Allan MacDonald); and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters, Julia (Ted Gallant), Delphine (Laffin Landry), Laurette (Bob Pilotte), Lucie (Stanley Arsenault), Doris (Desmond Curley), Freda (Jack Kelly); and by brothers, Tilmon (Eleanor) Arsenault, Gerard Arsenault; and by brother-in-law, Paul McNamara. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home, 900 Route 124, Urbainville, PE. As per his personal wishes, there will be no visiting hours. A funeral Mass (public may attend) will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Saint-Philippe et Saint Jaques Church, Egmont Bay, followed by the interment in the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church Parish Cemetery. Wellington Branch #17 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a memorial service at the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 25th.
