Blaisdell, Elizabeth "Betty" Passed away peacefully with family at her side at the Kings County Memorial Hospital in Montague on Sunday, July 28, 2024. She was a strong woman with a love for life and a hearty contagious laugh. She was a loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to many. She leaves behind her beloved children, Rhoda (Pat), David (Mary Margaret), Beverly (Jimmy), Bernie (Lisa) and daughter-in-law, Wendy. In addition, she will be fondly remembered by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; along with Craig MacLellan and Tanya MacLean and is also survived by her sister, Grace Jackson. Betty was the daughter of the late Herbert and Minnie (MacDonald) Blackett. She is predeceased by her two husbands, Andrew Blaisdell and Finbar Brown. Also predeceased by her sons, Kenny and Preston Blaisdell; daughter, Carol Ann Langley; brothers, Leroy, Jim, Sterling, Bill Victor, Wally, Vern and Raymond; and grandchildren, Kenny Laybolt, Christopher Blaisdell, Courtney Decourcey and son-in-law, Jim MacLeod. Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Upton Gospel Chapel, Upton, PE, on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 2 p.m with interment to follow in the Old Dundas Acorn Cemetery.
