Hume, George Abraham At the Kings County Memorial Hospital, the passing of George Abraham Hume, age 83, occurred on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Born in Iris, PE, on July 15, 1941, son of the late Carlton and Abena (Daley) Hume. George leaves behind his wife, Joan; beloved children, Rosalee (Rob) Kyritsis, Randy (Donna Mae) Hume and Bobby (Kim Purdy) Hume; cherished grandchildren, Michael (Sarah), Christy (Mitch), Rebeccah (David), Kelsie (Logan), Abbie (Connor), Ashley, Riley (Jordan); George was privileged to have had two great-grandchildren, Mason and Brycen, with a third arriving soon, Emmett; brother, Barry (Ester) Hume; sister, Lucy Hume; sister-in-law, Nancy Sanders; brother-in-law, Lea (Beth) Sanders and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his first wife, Helen Mae (Sanders) Hume; sister, Marion (Walter) Davidson; niece, Lynn Hume and brother-in-law, Sterling Sanders. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting hours on Friday, July 19, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service to take place in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, July 20 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in Murray River Cemetery.
