Mahar, Gerald Roy Peacefully at the Souris Hospital on Monday, July 1, 2024, Gerald Roy Mahar passed away with family by his side. Born in Summerside, PE on August 31, 1958, he was aged 65 years. Roy is survived by his loving children, Anna and Josh Mahar and will be missed by his dear siblings, Joyce Norrish (Max), Audrey Heinz (Barton), Gary (Betty), Brian (Joanne), Glen (Nancy), and Carol Cheverie (Mark); along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition, he will be lovingly remembered by the staff and residence of the Bayview Lodge who he considered his second family. He is predeceased by his parents, Joe and Lola Mahar; brother, Kevin; and nephew, Stephen. The Mahar family would like to acknowledge the care and support given to their father and brother during his time at the Bayview Lodge. The kindness shown to him by the entire staff will always be remembered. A funeral Mass will be held at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Souris, PE on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. with interment to take place at a later date in the St. Alexis Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Rollo Bay, PE.
