James G. CAMPBELL — Charlottetown, PEI

Campbell, James G. It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of James Garnet Campbell on July 22, 2024, at the QEH, Charlottetown. James was born on September 11, 1971 in Summerside, PE, and as a child moved to Charlottetown with his mother, Sheila Campbell. James is the beloved husband of Kara Campbell (nee Walsh) and adored by their daughter and center of their world, Elizabeth. James is survived by his sisters, Debbie (Blair) MacLean, Jill (Brian) Gervais; brother, Sandy Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews. James will be missed by his extended family, especially his cousin, Shelley Francais and her children, Blake and Hailee; his parents-in-law, Leroy and Loretta Walsh; and sister-in-law, Lisa (Aaron) Walsh-Cooper. James was quiet and kind in nature, he enjoyed many outdoor activities like fishing, snowboarding, camping with friends and family, and loved his career as a carpenter, working with his friend, Trent Pollard. James had re-ignited his passion for skateboarding, as a part of what he called "The Old Guys Club," and loved his time in the skatepark and on his backyard ramp. While James was a very quiet, kind soul he had a dry sense of humour that he loved to pull out of his pocket when the time was right. James' family would like to thank the staff of the QEH ER, ICU and Social Work Departments for the tremendous care they provided not only for James but for them as well in their darkest hours. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment later in the Sherwood Cemetery. Visiting hours today, Friday from 4 - 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to an education fund for Elizabeth or to Skateboard PEI at skateboardpei.ca.
