Weatherbie, Sadie M. Peacefully at the Riverview Manor, the passing of Sadie Margaret Weatherbie (nee Millar), age 90, of Montague, PEI, wife of Eric Weatherbie, occurred on Monday, July 8, 2024, with family by her side. Born April 11, 1934, she was the daughter of the late David and Nettie (Jordan) Millar. Sadie is survived by her loving children, Patsy Snow, Sherry (Peter) Baccardax, and Erica Weatherbie (Al King); cherished grandchildren, Matthew (Christine) Snow-Bayers, Phillip (Samantha) Snow, Joseph (Gillian) Baccardax, Nicholas (Ashley) Bawn, Curtis (Megan) Bawn, Hannah (Alexandra) Bawn; treasured great-grandchildren, Summer, Alaiyna, Carson and Nash; brother-in-law, Norman Burton and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Lillian Huesker (Joe) and Lucy Dixon (Archie); brothers, Dr. Charles Graham (Bernie), Leverett Graham (Shirley), Warren Millar (Flossie) and infant, David Millar; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eileen Thompson (Wilfred), Betty Mellish (Douglas), Hettie Mae Burton, Lincoln Weatherbie and Arthur Weatherbie (Frena). Sadie enjoyed a lengthy teaching career spanning all grade levels with numerous public-school systems in PEI, Quebec and Nova Scotia. The family would like to thank the staff at Dr. John Gillis Lodge Home and Riverview Manor who took exceptional care of Sadie throughout her final years. Resting at the Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with visiting hours on Sunday, July 21 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held from Hillcrest United Church on Monday, July 22 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Community Park Cemetery, Montague.
