Bernard, Alvin At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Tuesday August 20, 2024 of Alvin Bernard of Kensington and formerly of Long River aged 94 years. Born on December 12,1929 in Long River, PE, to the late Edwin and Marion (Corbett) Bernard. Alvin is survived by his wife, Irene (Profitt) Bernard. Lovingly remembered by his children, Eleanor (Brian) Evans, Sandra (Willard) Champion, Blaine (Stephanie) Bernard and Darlene (late Paul) Weeks. He loved to tease his grandchildren, Brittany, Haley, Alex, Bryan, Kodie, Carter, Devon, Kelsey and Nicole. His great-grandchildren, Atley, Ellis, Liam, Luca and Abigal brought great joy to his day as well. Alvin is survived by his sister, Marcella (late Paul) Cormier and by brother-in-law, Clair (Marion) Profitt. Predeceased by his parents; sisters, Evelyn (John) Beverwyk, Mrytle (Eric) Campbell, Sylvia Bernard and brother, Ralph Bernard; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Halsey and Charlotte Profitt; sisters-in-law, Jessie (Charles) Cole, Ruth (Tom) Hannah and brother-in-law, Gerald Profitt. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Monday from 1-3 p.m. followed by the funeral in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel which will be available to view online.
