Thomson, Bloise Lloyd 1931-2024. Passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in his 93rd year. Preceded in death by his wife, Norma, who he missed dearly every single day. Born in Campbellton, PE on December 14, 1931, he was the oldest son of the late Lloyd and Annie (Shaw) Thomson. Bloise shared a close bond with his brother Floyd, who he was able to spend time with since his return home to PEI. Predeceased by his siblings, Audrey, Hollis, and Blair; survived by Floyd (Pauline), Dianna (Roy) and Muncey. He loved and was loved by his children, Brian (Mary Lee), Paul (Anna), Sandra (gave up) and Tanya Wood (Rob); Bloise has quite a collection of grandchildren, Grampa to Michael (Penny) Katrina (John), Cearra, Timothy, and beloved Grumpa to Allister and James. Great grandchildren are Jet, Axel, Ember (Micheals crew) and Arwen, Zara (Katrina). Bloise moved to Ontario after marrying Norma where they raised their family, returning every summer to PEI. Bloise was a very active member of Sharon-Hope United Church for many many years. Norma used to call the church office to put in a requisition when work needed to be done at home! With his love of gardening, Bloise was instrumental in establishing the Memory Garden at Sharon-Hope with Dr. Hunt. He was a strong supporter of Noah's Ark Preschool and managed the church sound system for many years. On Sunday mornings, Bloise could always be found in his favourite spot at the back of the sanctuary enjoying the music, especially his favourite old-time hymns. Bloise's love of Sharon-Hope was evident in all that he did both publicly and quietly behind the scenes. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, from where his celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 20 at 10:30 a.m. The family has arranged a final coffee time for Bloise. A private family interment will take place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to Dr. O'Neill at QEH who on Sunday morning listened to his symptoms, revisited his scans and pin pointed what went misdiagnosed over the years. It was comforting in the end to find a Dr. who cared. Online condolences may be shared on his obituary page at: www.belvederefh.com
