Smith, Dorothy It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dorothy Marilyn Smith age 73 of Truemanville on Sunday August 25, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Truemanville, she was a daughter of the late John and Ruby Trueman. Dorothy will be forever missed by her loving husband of 54 years, Dan; children, Christopher (Gina), Carrie (Darrell) Daley and Charla (Jason) MacPhee; 11 grandchildren; great-grandchild; sisters, Jean and Carol; and brother, Raymond. Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Bowles. Visitation will take place on Friday August 30, 2024 from 12-2 p.m. immediately followed by a service to celebrate Dorothy's life at 2 p.m. with Rev. K. Ruth Gamble officiating all held at Campbell's Funeral Home Chapel, 98 Church Street, Amherst. Burial will follow in the Truemanville Cemetery.
