Pineau, Joseph "Alban" Born in New Glasgow, PE, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by his family, aged 97 years. Alban was born on May 18, 1927, to the late Frank and Emma (Doucette) Pineau. He is survived by his wife, Elsie (Gallant); daughters, Cathy (Kelly Weger), Lynette (Mark Medgyesi); sons, Edwin (Wanita), Lane (Sherri); grandchildren, Carson Weger, Bethany, Dominik Pineau; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Mary Albina "Bea," Eleanor, Austin, Edward, Yvonne, Louise, Leo, and Lorraine. Alban had a small family farm and drove a school bus for 40 years until his retirement. He was an avid member of St. Augustine's Church in Rustico and volunteered many hours of his time to the Church. Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, New Glasgow. No visitation by personal request. The funeral will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. preceded by a receiving line at the Church from 10-10:30 a.m. Interment in the St. Augustine's Cemetery followed by a reception at the Cymbria Lions Club, Rustico.
