Richard Lowell VEINOT — Stratford

Veinot, Richard Lowell It is with broken hearts the family of Richard Lowell Veinot, announce his passing at Andrews of Stratford, August 24, 2024, after a valiant and courageous battle with Parkinson's and Lewey Body Demetia. Richard was adored beyond measure, loved without bounds and will live always in the hearts of his wife, Cheryl (Cherie); his children, Steven (Lyla), Michael (Debbie), his chosen son, Karl Johnston (Crystal MacDonald); and grandchildren, Jackson (Jack) and Kinsley (Kitty). His sons and grandchildren are his greatest joy and legacy. He is survived by his brother, William Veinot; his nieces, Ashley (Steve Maltais), Sacha (Neil Smith). His mother-in-law, Doris Snyder; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Olsen (Jackie) (Eric); brother-in-law, James Snyder (Denise) and Murray (Erin) are also nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Lowell and Mary (Ernst); and his much-loved uncle, Harold Veinot and father-in-law, Llewellyn Snyder. Richard's greatest passion and love besides his family was his blueberry land and 1969 MGB. Richard spent many hours out on the land every spring. On his first trip of the season, he would always bend down, take some soil in his hands and smell it. Always the same statement "Land has so much potential. All it needs is hard work and nurturing." When not on the land he loved to ride his MGB with the top down, and, quite often said, "Now this is the life. Driving my car, and you wifey, by my side!" We, the family of Richard, wish to thank the incredible staff at Andrews of Stratford for their excellent care, sincere kindness and love. We will never have words to adequately express our gratitude. You all became our family. We can hear Richard say, "And the point is." We love you all! Always just a thought away Our souls shall never part Connected for eternity Forever in our hearts There will be no visitation or funeral at the request of Richard. A Celebration of life will be held at Belvedere Funeral Home Reception Centre on Thursday, August 29 from 4-7 p.m. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the PEI Humane Society. Online condolences may be shared on his obituary page at: www.belvederefh.com
