Mullally, Anna Mae The death occurred peacefully at the Souris Hospital on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, after a lengthy illness of Anna Mae Mullally (nee MacLean) of Souris, and East Point, PEI. Born to the late Alexis and Mary Catherine MacLean on July 27, 1930, she was aged 94 years. She is predeceased by her husband, Paul Hughes Mullally; and her siblings, Mary Ellen, Danny, and Jean MacLean. Also predeceased by sisters-in-law, Peggy Mullally, Paulette Mullally; and brother-in-law, David Mullally. Anna Mae is survived by her special cousin, Marie (Mossey) Roman; and special neighbor and friend, Rose Cheverie. Also survived by brothers-in-law, Dunstan "Vince" (Theresa), Desmond (Rose Ann), Anthony (Joan), William (Kathleen), Joseph (Mary Alice), Michael; and sister-in-law, Marie Mullally. Anna Mae grew up on the MacLean family farm in East Point. In her youth she moved to Massachusetts to work where she met her dear husband, Paul. They were married in St. Columba July 5, 1969. After two years, they relocated back to Charlottetown, PEI. In later years after her husband's passing, she returned to the family farm to recuperate from surgery and went on to be caregiver to her sister and brother who were in ill health until they passed. She stayed on to live on the family property after their passing. She loved the land, the ocean shore, and all animals especially her dog. She kept in touch with her many family and friends and loved to go out for drives and a meal. She was a member of East Point Women's Institute and St. Columba CWL Eastern Unit. Over the years she helped out many of our families by babysitting, cooking meals and housekeeping. She also was devout in her faith. If anyone needed a prayer, she was there for them. Rest in peace dear Anna Mae. Thank You to the Home Care Staff, Meals on Wheels Program and their volunteers; Dr. Bronaugh and Dr. Malone; the precious and astute Nursing and Auxiliary staff care of the Souris Hospital; the Woodland Community Care, for all of your kind attention to Anna Mae in her declining months.
