MacDonald, James Bernard It is with sadness the family of James "Jimmy" MacDonald announce his passing which occurred peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Born to the late Bernard and Frances MacDonald on May 16, 1947, he was aged 77 of Bear River, PE. Jimmy is survived by his loving brothers, Everett, Clifford, Ray, Ken (Lynda), Ron, Allan (Sara); and sister, Ida (Rob). He will also be remembered by his brother-in-law, Ron Robitaille; sister-in-law, Elaine MacDonald; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother, Les; sisters, Geraldine, and Edna; along with sister-in-law, Joanne and Helen. Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. Following the visitation, a Knights of Columbus prayer service will take place. All members are encouraged to attend. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Souris on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in the St. Alexis Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Rollo Bay. If so desired, donations in memory of Jimmy can be made to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, or the Eastern Kings Health Foundation (Souris Hospital).
