Dorsey, Frances Genevieve It is with an appreciation for a life well lived that the family of Frances Genevieve (Brennan) Dorsey announce her passing at The Garden Home with family by her side on September 27, 2024 at the age of 97. Born July 27, 1927, raised and educated in Kinkora, later married and lived in Charlottetown, PE. Frances was predeceased by parents, Martin and Corletta (Murtaugh); husband and life time partner, James Patrick; siblings, Pauline (Donovan), Iris (MacRae) and Ernest; and granddaughter, Gabrielle. Frances is survived by her sister, Marion (Leonard); sister-in-law, Mickey (Brennan); children, James (Oriette), David (Paula), Paul (Connie), Mary Lynn (Don LeMay), Michael (Kimberly); grandchildren, Josh (Mel), Jason ( Karyn), Shaun (Lauren), Ryan (Kat), Camille (Marcello), Mark (Heather), Mike (Meghan), and Gregory; and great-grandchildren, Kipp, Tate, Rylee, Will, Paige, Graysen and Luxyn. Frances was a teacher, mentor, supportive coworker, teaching all grades in one room schools and at Queen Square School, and later in administration at the Charlottetown Hospital and QEH. Raising family included community involvement, Akela (Gilwell Boy Scout Leader), life time member of CWL, and a good neighbour to many plus helping others as needed. Family and faith were very important to Frances. Mom was kind, smart, never complained, wise, tolerant, and was well respected by all. Mom, Grammie, GG, you will be missed. You shared so much of yourself with us. You leave us well prepared. The family would like to thank Andrews of Charlottetown and The Garden Home for the care of our mother.
