Yeo, John Maxmillion It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Maxmillion Yeo, loving and devoted spouse to Darlene Rioux, announces his passing on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre. John was born in Charlottetown, PE on December 10, 1948, and he was proudly raised on the Jewell Road. John was the son of the late George and Catherine (Weeks) Yeo. In addition to his loving spouse of 22 years, Darlene, he is survived by his daughters, Danielle Arsenault (Richard) and Janine Rooney (Rick); stepchildren, Randy Malone (Jessi), Roxanne Taillon (Monica), Tyler Rioux (Brittany) and Jean-Marc Rioux (Patricia); siblings, Audrey Ford (Miltie), Judy Lowe, Robert Yeo (Helena), Anna Stanke; and brother-in-law, Darrell Lowe; cherished grandchildren, Aidan, Keegan, Connor, Jerrica, Eric, Lexi, Mia, Mateo, Mikael, Claire, Arthur, Hudson, Henri, Adam and Brielle; numerous nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Dot. John worked as a mechanic for his entire career. He owned the Shell in North River, worked for Canadian Tire for 35 years, and finished his career at Newman's Garage in New Haven. He loved his work, camping, music, being outdoors – especially keeping his lawn meticulous, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. John is resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Tuesday, October 22 from 4-7 p.m. His funeral service will take place in the chapel on Wednesday, October 23 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at the Cornwall United Church Cemetery.
