Baglole, Joyce Irene Surrounded by her family, the death occurred at Stewart Memorial Home, Tyne Valley on Saturday, October 26, 2024 of Joyce Irene Baglole, formerly of Summerside, aged 88, wife of the late Desmond Baglole. Joyce was born in Greenmount on November 18, 1935, daughter of the late Marshall and Dorothy (Gordon) Rayner. Joyce and Desmond raised five children in their home in Wilmot. The home was part of a hobby farm where the family enjoyed a country lifestyle in Summerside East with cows, horses, chickens, and geese to look after. Joyce was known for her sense of humor and quick wit. She was always on the go at home with her family, in the community, and in her church. She enjoyed quiet time in her gardens as well as walking and chatting with friends. Joyce was well-known as manager of Ben's Bread Thrift Store in Summerside. There she met many, many people from the town and beyond. She always greeted her customers with friendly conversation and a smile. Joyce was dearly loved by all that knew her. She was a gentle soul with a kind heart and she will be greatly missed. Cherished mom to Peter (Nancy), Summerside; Randy (Alison), O'Leary; Paul (Pam), Meadowbank; Greg (Laura), Guelph, ON and Carolyn Baglole (Gerard Gallant) St-Hubert, QC and loving grammy to 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Dear sister to Jean MacArthur, Tyne Valley; Grace Kathleen (Tom) Palmer, Oshawa, ON; Eva Constance (Harold) MacDonald, Niagara, ON. Sister in law to Faye Rayner, Barbara Rayner, Jr (Kay) Baglole and Sheila (Ron) MacDougall. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, husband Desmond (1988), grandson Andrew in infancy, sisters Jessie Aileen Rayner, Elizabeth Frances Rayner, brothers Eldon and John James. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours on Wednesday, October 30, 3-6 p.m. Funeral on Thursday in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the People's Cemetery, Summerside.
