Gallant, Mary Emily "Gail" Passed peacefully, with family at her side, at the age of 77, on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Lawson Gallant. Gail was the loving mother of Maryrose, John Edmond "Eddie" (deceased in infancy), Jacinta, Lynn (Jeremy MacNevin), Peter (Odessa) and Olivia Colborne (Max); and grandmother of Nathan, Mia, Kaeleigh and Keagan. She is also remembered by her siblings, Theo (deceased), Emmett (Hazel, both deceased), Audrey (deceased), Terry, George, Clarence (Florence), Marilyn (Lester), Carol (Terry), Maureen (Lloyd, deceased) and Paulette; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Gail was predeceased by her parents, Edmond and Loretta Gallant. There will be no visitation by personal request. The funeral will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Cornwall, on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Mary's of the People Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hunter River.
