MacKay, Robert "Bobby" Sterling It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Bobby" Sterling MacKay, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, partner and friend, who left us on Oct 24, 2024, at the age of 74. Bobby's zest for life and fearless spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Born on March 19, 1950, Bobby grew up in Parkdale with a passion for adventure that only grew stronger with time. From a young age, he found his calling on two wheels, embracing the thrill and freedom that motorcycles brought into his life. Bobby was a dedicated father to his three cherished daughters, Meredith, Jayne and Carrie. Everyone who knew Bobby knew there was nothing he loved more than his three girls. Bobby is survived by his daughter, Meredith (Craig Bennett), Jayne (Steve Mullaley), and Carrie (Brad Collicutt); his grandchildren, Lily, Nate, Jake and Teddy; his siblings, Gloria, Betty (Mike), Charles and Emily; the mother of his children, Mary Ann MacKay; and his partner, Colleen Murphy; and nieces and nephews, Bobby, Chrissy, Jenny, Michael-Keith, BJ, Donnie and Helen. Predeceased by his parents, Florence and Ginger MacKay; brother, Donnie MacKay; and niece, Charlotte. Visitation will be held at Belvedere Funeral home on Saturday, Oct 26, from 12–6 p.m. with Funeral Services at Park Royal United Church in Parkdale on Sunday, Oct 27, at 2 p.m. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
