Ferguson, Stanley Allister It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Stanley Allister Ferguson, age 77 years, in the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Beloved husband of Beth (nee Newman) and father of Shaun (Jessica McMullen) and Jamie (April); also survived by five loving grandchildren, Stuart, Martha, Timothy, Heath and Miles; siblings, Mervyn (Shirley), Jeanne (Alan) MacGregor, Sheila, Owen and Jo-Ann (Dana) Chase. Predeceased by his parents, Allister and Reta (nee Barnhill). Stan was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for 37 years, including two tours with the Musical Ride. He was also an active member of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Royalty, a devoted volunteer with Gifts from the Heart, Meals on Wheels PEI and with the breakfast program at St. Jean Elementary School. If so desired, memorial donations may be made directly to Gifts from the Heart, Meals on Wheels PEI or a charity of choice. A private family graveside service will be held in Belmont Cemetery, Belmont. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 30th from 4–6 p.m. in Belvedere Funeral Home in Charlottetown, PEI.
