Rafuse, Evelyn Grace The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 of Evelyn Grace Rafuse (nee Smith) formerly of Mount Buchanan and Tantallon, age 96 years. Loving wife of the late John Rafuse. Cherished mother of Holly (Derek) Smith, Carol (Kent) MacDonald, Melda (James) Darnbrough and Joyce (Hubert) Fraser. Nan of Andrew and Terilyn Smith, Lisa (Anthony) Vos, Lori (Steve) Tessier, Jeffrey (Jennifer) and Kelly MacDonald, Julie Darnbrough (Tyler Case), Jonathan (Jenna) Darnbrough, Nicholas (Tonia) Fraser and Stephanie (Colin) McQuillan. GranNan of Carter, MacKenzie, Claire, Leah, Charlotte, Laura, Ben and Mila. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Bertha (Trueman) Smith. Evelyn was the last remaining member, having been predeceased by her 10 siblings: Ada, Thelma, Delmore, Garvie, Maynard, Lena, Roy, Marjorie, Cyril and Daniel. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Friday from Christ Church, Cherry Valley at 11 a.m. Interment in Polly Cemetery, Mount Buchanan.
