Hughes, Louis "Arthur" The death occurred peacefully after a brief illness, with family by his side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Thursday, November 7, 2024, of Louis "Arthur" Hughes, of Harrington, beloved husband of the late Cindy Hughes (nee LeClair), aged 75. He was the son of the late Hilson and Vernita Hughes; and son-in-law of the late Freddie and Hazel LeClair. Arthur was the loving father of Louise Knox (David) and Evan Black (Savannah). He is also survived by his siblings, Virginia Morrison (Charles), Marilyn (Ivan, deceased), Joan Howe (Bruce, deceased), Dorothy (John, deceased), Donald (Carolyn) and Donna Kitson (Roger); siblings-in-law, Gerarda Peddie (Bart), Wayne LeClair (Roberta), Winnie LeClair (Bruce, deceased), Bobby LeClair (Shirley), Jeff LeClair (Myrna), Larry LeClair (Marta), and Nancy Ford (Darcy); as well as special niece and nephew, Dwayne (Connie) and Brenda Hughes (George). Besides those mentioned above, Arthur was predeceased by his nephew, Shawn Hughes. Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visitation on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. The funeral will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. Interment in Winsloe South Cemetery.
