Dunphy, St. Clair After a long and full life, St Clair Dunphy of Morell passed away peacefully at the QEH on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the age of 95. Clair was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Mary (Keays) in 2013 and survived by his children, Joe (Lisa), Maureen, David (Donna), Kevin (Janet), John (Lynn) and Mark. Clair was so proud of his grandchildren, Marybeth, Jennifer (DJ), Michael (Kellie), Ian (Kaitlin), Graeme (Kelly), Alex, Jonathan (Emma), Jillian (Tristan), Abby (Elijah), Stephen, Sarah (Ben) and Lindsay, and enjoyed many visits from his 10 great-grandchildren, Stella and Gavin, Maggie and Myles, Sophie and Thomas, Caroline, Elliott and Marty, and Lily. Survived by brother, Tom (Marion); sisters-in-law, Phyllis Dunphy, Anne (Jiggs) Poole and Rosina (Paul) Richard; and special friend, Leslie Phelan. Predeceased by brothers, John (Stella), Amos (Cecilia), Monsignor Peter, Brendie (Phyllis) and Clair Fisher (Adeline); sister, Sr. Janet, CND; one grandchild, Jimmy Dunphy, brothers-in-law; Lornie, Allan, Wendell, Byron, Jim, Elmer and Gerald Keays; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mallard, Henrietta Donovan, Kate Frechette, and Lorraine Gillis. A sincere thank you to Souris Home Care and Support Nurses, the Home Support Workers and the St Peter's Bay day program for their kindness and professional and respectful care. Special thanks to Connie MacDougall for her kind care and delicious meals, including fish every Friday, for Clair these last few years. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral home until Wednesday morning and then transferred to St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Green Meadows for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Clair's memory can be made to the St. Lawrence O'Toole Roman Catholic Church Cemetery Fund.
