Ryan, Verna Mary The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with family by her side of Verna Mary Ryan of Kingston PEI age 85. Verna was born in Pleasant View PEI to the late Edward Clarence (EC) and Ada Jane (Rogers) Gaudette. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Richard (Shawna); and grandson, Nick and Bonnie (Normand); and granddaughter, Shaelynn. She will be greatly missed by her siblings, Vernon (Catherine) Gaudette, Claude (Joanne) Gaudette , Bernice Gaudette, and Lorraine (Ben) Peters. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Verna was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Ada; her husband, David Ryan; and by brothers and sisters, Billy (Marie), Edward (Irene), Ray (Marion), Wilbert (Violet), Ann (Bill) Bryson, Norma (Ed) Hamilton and Eva (Keith) Adams. Verna was an avid gardener with a green thumb, she loved her plants. She was also a great cook who loved feeding everyone, there was never a shortage of food and always lots of desserts. She was also a wonderful decorator . Resting at the West Prince Funeral home, 522 Thompson Rd, St. Louis PEI. Visiting hours will be Thursday November 21st from 6-9 p.m. Funeral will take place Friday November 22nd at 11 a.m. at St. Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish with Fr. Tim officiating. If so desired Memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
