Crosby, Hazel Virginia It is with compassion and love that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Hazel Virginia Crosby (nee MacDonald), age 93 years, of Charlottetown and formerly of Churchill, P.E.I. The death occurred at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on November 29, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Heath Everett Crosby. Loving mother of Lynn, Blair (Barb), David-dec., Cindy (Byron Tremere), Paul, Randy-dec., Steven Crosby and Karen Poley. Devoted Nanny to Jeremy (Cindy MacInnis) and Clarissa Crosby, Tim (Nicole), Chris (Trina) Tremere, Miranda ( Nick Phelan), Luke (Ashley) Crosby, Grace ( Austin Ericson), Sam and Ben Crosby, Courtney ( Ryan Waite), Shanell (Sylvia Forsythe), and Connor Crosby, Jordan ( Kayla Fraser) and Jason Poley. Proud Great Grandmother of Ella, Regan, Braedan, Rowan, Ashley, Ava, Camden, Peyton, Claire, Sophia, James, Nora, Levi ,Landon, Theia and Logan. Fondly remembered by sisters Shirley Pollard, Donna (Kent) Gorveatt, brothers Wendell (Heather), Lea (Colleen), Mervin (Debbie), Terry (Gayle) MacDonald. Sister -in-law of Colin Birt and Donna MacDonald. Predeceased by her husband, Heath E. Crosby, Parents Percy and Emily (Sellar) MacDonald, Sons David and Randy, by brothers Oliver (Phyllis), Borden, Neil (Gail), Willard and Lomer MacDonald; sisters Dorothy (Andrew ) Crosby, Sandra Birt, Joyce (Preston) Richards and Audrey Auld, Sister in Laws Marie, Isabelle, Shirley, Betty and Judy, brothers -in- law Ernie, Andrew, Jamie and Gordon Crosby, Preston Richards, Alger Pollard, Henry Ferguson and Gerry Auld. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Hazel and her family wish to thank her special team of care givers and Provincial Home Care nurses who cared for Mom at home until she moved to the Provincial Palliative Care Centre. We thank you for the kindness and compassion you showed her and know she appreciated all you did for her. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Mireille Lecours and Dr. Angela MacLaren and their team of Doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers, for the love and care shown to Mom and our family during her stay at the Provincial Palliative Care Center. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4 , 2024 at 11 a.m. For those wishing to attend virtually, the service will be live streamed (the link will be posted here later). Interment in Appin Road Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Appin Road Cemetery or charity of your choice.
